    As a VoIP Infrastructure Engineer at CircleLoop, you will be primarily responsible for driving & owning the continual enhancements of our industry-leading communications platform with a focus on our VoIP stack and interconnections with our telephony partners.


    Our customer & user base has grown exponentially since COVID-19, with more and more people relying on our services to connect them, we're going global!  That’s awesome - but it also means that we have to keep our focus on R&D and enhancements to continue our worldwide growth. So, one of our opportunities right now is to continually improve our platform leveraging modern technologies & services like AWS auto-scaling & auto-healing, but this conversation is very much open and when you arrive, we’d love your input too based on your experience.


    Your Mission at CircleLoop?

    • Be a key influence on our VoIP platform, with an emphasis on Kamailio FreeSwitch, / Asterisk & RTPEngine best practice
    • Deploy and configure SBCs, B2BUAs, Registrars and Gateways in the cloud.
    • Analyse SIP Traces and flows to optimise and debug
    • Support the direction and architecture of CircleLoop
    • Learn other technologies to help you along the way, including AWS.
    • Work with partners to define and deliver integrations in order to deliver our services to our customers 24/7, worldwide with the best quality in the market

    About our technology:

    As a VoIP Software Engineer, you’ll be working with our core technology platform and associated frameworks, plus other technologies including - FreeSwitch, Kamailio, Janus & RTPEngine. Our platform is fully hosted in AWS Cloud, leveraging Kubernetes and InfrastructureAsCode (IaC) for deployment, scalability & resilience.

    Job requirements

    What skills do you need to make an impact in this role?


    The tech stuff:

    • Experience configuring Freeswitch or Asterisk
    • Ability to analyse SIP Traces and Flows
    • TCP/IP, SIP, RTP, DNS.
    • Understanding of WebRTC protocols: ICE, STUN & TURN
    • A bonus - some knowledge of Kamailio
